The border neighbors of the country are South Sudan in the north, Kenya in the east, Tanzania in the south, mostly with Lake Victoria, Rwanda in the southwest and Congo in the west. The capital city of the country is Kampala.

It is located in the Kingdom of Buganda, which is an autonomous kingdom in the country.

A Brief History of Uganda

The country takes its name from the Kingdom of Buganda, an autonomous kingdom located in the southeast region of Uganda. In Buganda, where Bantu groups live, the prefix that comes to the basic word (here Ganda) in the spoken Bantu language could change the meaning of the word. According to this, Buganda was defined as the place where the people of Baganda lived and spoke Lugandad. Since the first contact of Europeans with the region and the people of Uganda was through the coasts of Tanzania, these regions were named Uganda by the Europeans because the suffix Uön was used instead of the Bu-prefix, which means that the Swahili language spoken in this region lives.

In this climate type, the evaporation rate is higher than the annual average precipitation rate. Annual rainfall averages varied between 1,000mm and 1,500mm in previous years, and there were only two dry periods covering December-February and June-August.
