India Overview

The Republic of India is geographically the 7th largest country located in South-East Asia. In population, it is the second-largest country in the world. India, which is also the world's largest democracy, has quite long coastlines with the Indian Ocean in the south, the Arabian Sea in the west, and the Bay of Bengal in the east. The capital of India, one of the two countries with a population above 1 billion marks, is New Delhi.

Brief History of India

India is a country of ancient civilizations. With the emergence of civilization in the Indus valley, civilization developed with the influence of the Aria. This period, which is called the Vedic period, is the period when Hinduism was born. For 1500 years in the Classical period there was a period of the influence of numerous dynasties, which featured the Gupta Empire. British influence began in the 18th century and continued until 1947. At the end of the nonviolent independence struggle led by Mahatma Gandhi, he was liberated in August 1947.

Geography in India

India has an extremely diverse geography, ranging from snow-capped mountain ranges to deserts, plains to hills and highlands. The country, which has a land of 3,286,532 square kilometers, has coastal borders extending to the Indian Ocean in the south, the Arabian Sea in the west, and the Bay of Bengal in the east. The northern land borders are adjacent to China, Bhutan, and Nepal. It has a border with Pakistan along its western border.

Climate in India

India is home to six major climate subtypes, consisting of the arid desert in the west, alpine tundra and glaciers in the north, and humid tropical regions that support rainforests in the southwest and island regions. The country has four seasons: winter (January-February), summer (March-May), monsoon (rainy) season (June-September), and a post-monsoon period (October-December)

Coffee Production in India

Coffee production takes place in the high plateaus of South India. Indian coffee is said to be the best coffee in the world that can be grown in shade rather than direct sunlight. There are more than 250 thousand coffee growers in the country and they produce approximately 260 thousand tons of coffee per year. Indian coffees are also known as monsoon coffee. While Robusta was the first effective type in coffee production since 1670, the production of hybrid Arabica coffee, which is famous for its unique spice aromas, has intensified.
